RYUTOKAI vol.27 Osamu Kurikawa× Yuki Yamada

―The potential of the body from the perspective of visual impairment

For the 27th time, Yuki Yamada, Artistic Director of Noism’s Community Activities Division, makes his first appearance in “RYUTOKAI”!
We welcome Osamu Kurikawa as a guest, who is active in various fields such as chorus while continuing his research as a person with visual impairments. Mr. Kurikawa has participated in the “Noism Body Workshop for the Visually Impaired” since 2019, its first time, and has been watching Noism’s performances from the front row. Ms. Kurikawa’s dancing deeply moved not only the Noism members who danced with him, but also everyone who was present at the workshops. What kind of world does Mr. Kurikawa “see”? Using the repeated exchanges through meetings, emails, workshops, and performances as clues, we will deepen our thoughts on the body and art together with the participants.
