Outline of activity
●Classes
Noism method…Training to develop a “taut body” originally devised by Jo Kanamori
Noism Ballet… Noism’s original ballet class based on classical ballet
●Rehearsal
Joint creation with Noism1 (works choreographed by Jo Kanamori), Noism repertoires, guest choreographer’s work, etc.
Participation in Noism1’s new creation as an understudy in case a Noism1 member is absent due to illness or injury.
●Performances
Noism2 solo performances, Noism1 & Noism2 joint performances, performances at cultural facilities and schools in Niigata Prefecture, appearances at events in Niigata Prefecture, etc.
Period of activity
From the 22nd season (starting September 2025) – annual renewal system
Hours of activity
5-6 days a week (9:00-18:00)
Days off: Every Monday & every other Sunday, New Year holidays and long summer holidays
Location of activity
RYUTOPIA Niigata City Performing Arts Center, Noism rehearsal studio in Niigata City
Training fee
300,000 yen per year (consumption tax included)
Entry qualifications
Those who are from 16 years old (junior high school graduate or above) to 25 years old who can live in Niigata City. More than 3 years of dance experience. Any genre is acceptable. Those who can participate in all of the above activity period/hours.
Must be able to communicate in Japanese. As a rule, leaving in the middle of the season is not permitted.

●Facial and full-body photographs
●Video material: the applicant’s own image of himself/herself dancing must be clearly visible.
*Please send us the video in a common video format such as MP4, or a link to watch the video on Youtube, Vimeo, etc.

●First selection: documents and video screening
●Second selection: practical skills and interview screening
* After the first selection, those selected for the second round will be contacted.

Noism Company Niigata is a leading dance company in Japan, based in RYUTOPIA Niigata City Performing Arts Center. For 19th season (2022/2023), we are looking for a male dancer of the main company Noism1.
Outline of activity
Noism1 members are active throughout the year.
●Class:
・Noism Method… Training to cultivate a “taut body” originally devised by Jo Kanamori
・Noism Ballet … Noism’s original ballet class based on classical ballet
●Rehearsal: Creation of new work directed/choreographed by Jo Kanamori, creation with guest choreographers, Noism1 repertoire, etc.
●Performances: Main performances held twice a year. After its premiere in Niigata, touring in Japan and overseas. In addition, Noism1 members serve as an open class instructor and perform at events, etc.
Period of activity
19th season (starting from September 2022). The contract may extend on yearly renewal basis.
Hours of activity
5-6 days a week (10:30-18:00)
Day off: Every Monday and every other Sunday. New Year holidays and long summer holidays.
*This does not apply during the performance period.

RYUTOPIA Niigata City Performing Arts Center
Compensation
Annual contract (monthly payment of remuneration) / Other allowances are based on company regulations.
*Contract fee is determined based on experience, achievements, etc.
Entry qualifications
Those who are from 18 to 35 years old and who can live in Niigata City. More than 5 years of dance experience required.
Those who can participate in all of the above activity period/time. In principle, it is not possible to leave the company in the middle of the season.
*Limited to those who can come for audition in Niigata.
