SCOT Summer Season 2025
Noism0+Noism1 “The Song of Marebito”

SCOT Summer Season 2025

It is 50 years since SCOT (Suzuki Company of Toga) moved its base to Toga!
This year Noism will perform again in SCOT Summer Season in Toga, the holy land of theatre. “Selene, or the Song of Marebito”, which was first performed at the open-air theatre in Kurobe, has been revised and will be performed in the gassho-style (steep thatched roof) theatre.

Noism0+Noism1 “The Song of Marebito”

A mysterious being from the other world—the “Marebito”—enters a collective ritual, sending ripples through the group. What transformation will they undergo and where are they heading? Containing themes of “the individual and the collective, “afterlife and real life”, this dance piece explores through the presence of “Marebito” as a ritual of the outsider.
