Since last year, Noism Company Niigata has been holding the “Body Workshop for the Deaf”. Touching the bodies of professional dancers and moving together with music, it is a valuable opportunity not only for deaf people but also for dancers themselves to feel and enjoy a new world with each other.
The workshop begins with a deaf person and a dancer putting their hands together one-on-one. Hearts resonate from the touch of hands, and your senses, hearing and presence will be fully opened… before you know it, you’ll find yourself dancing to the music with someone.
We will proceed in an easy way for first-timers to participate, so please feel free to join us. We look forward to seeing you all at RYUTOPIA.
 
Date: Saturday, 7 October, 2023, 16:00-18:00 (including retrospective dialogue)
 
Venue: RYUTOPIA Niigata City Performing Arts Center – Studio B
 
Participation fee: Free　
*Please come with comfortable clothes.
 
Participant: Deaf people and their attendants (about 15-20 people)

* Observation and interviews with people other than the parties concerned are also possible. However, the number of participants is limited (first-come, first-served basis). Please feel free to contact us if you are interested.
