2022.12.08 UPDATE
Open class for citizens
2023.02→05

Each Open Class is aimed to convey the physical knowledge that Noism Company Niigata has found in the past activities.
Being influenced by others, human beings realize, get inspired, grow (innovate), create (accomplish) something that was previously unimaginable. It is something that has been repeated in the history of humankind all over the world and it can be said that this is the factor that has progressed civilization. And it is not an experience that was specially expressed only to those who make a name as a great man in history, but is universally experienceable for people of any age, gender, occupation, and race. As such, education is not about embedding knowledge as information, but it is about giving awareness, providing a place to meet people who inspire and to accept growth (innovation). To provide such a place of awareness and learning for the future — that’s the philosophy of Noism Open Class.

Jo Kanamori
General Artistic Director
Noism Company Niigata

Noism has started its 19th season from September. We will continue to hold open classes for citizens next season as well. I believe that performing arts and theater culture are something that develop together with the audience. Through the open classes so far, I have felt that we may be able to connect dance culture more broadly and deeply by not only “seeing ↔ acting” in the theater, but also by communicating and practicing, participating and experiencing together. I hope it will be an opportunity to share Noism’s daily endeavors with you and gain various insights. We continue by improving little by little so that more people can enjoy it from here on out. We look forward to your participation.
