-Searching. How to be part of a new society.

After working at the University of Tokyo Hospital, doctor Toshiro Inaba, PhD has trained in a wide range of medicine, not only Western medicine, in order to create the soil for diversity and harmony in medicine. In addition to engaging in home and mountain medicine, he is also a visiting professor at Tohoku University of Art & Design and has been the artistic director of the Yamagata Biennale since 2020. Doctor Inaba, who explores the connections between all fields of art and Japanese culture, including Noh, says there is a strong connection between art and medicine. As a doctor, how does he see human health through art? He is looking for the way medicine can be a part of a new society.
