この夏、新潟で、日中韓の舞踊団による「新潟インターナショナルダンスフェスティバル」を開催！
それぞれの国で、同時代の作品創造を行う初のプロフェッショナルカンパニーとして創設された３団体が、りゅーとぴあに集います。
韓国からは大邱市立舞踊団（DCMDC）、中国からは城市当代舞踊団（CCDC）がいずれも初来日。
日本からはNoismの新たなプロジェクトカンパニーNoism0（ノイズムゼロ）が発足し、新作を含む4演目の上演と、日中韓各舞踊団を率いる芸術監督3名による文化鼎談を行います。

デジャヴュの迷路へと迷い込み、自らの記憶に足を取られる。その繊細な瞬間瞬間に、記憶は近く遠くをさまよい、時間の波間にゆっくりと呑み込まれていく。散在する名前、ゆがんだ顔、さまよう時間、変幻する光景、聞き慣れた筋書き。記憶と忘却の境界でもがき苦しむ。残されたものは空虚。この狂った世界の、何が真で、何が偽なのか。
国際的にも評価の高い振付家サン・ジジアの振付による『As If To Nothing』は、観客を興奮の渦に巻き込むインタラクティブなマルチメディアパフォーマンス。ディクソン・ディーの電子音楽、エイドリアン・ユンの映像を配し、香港随一のコンテンポラリーダンスカンパニーCCDCのフィジカルかつエモーショナルなパフォーマンスにより、とてもパワフルな作品となっている。

城市当代舞踊団
創設者であり現芸術監督であるウィリー・ツァオのディレクションのもと、城市当代舞踊団（CCDC）は35年の長きにわたり、数多くの優れた現代舞踊作品の上演により香港の観客を刺激し感動させ続けている。1979年の創設以来、他分野のアーティストとの画期的なコラボレーションや海外からもアーティストを招聘しながら、200本以上のオリジナル作品を制作。活気に溢れ多様な顔を持つ香港文化の力強さと創造性を背景に持つCCDCの活動は、「香港の現代芸術の魂」と評されている。

城市当代舞踊団創立者・芸術監督
ウィリー・ツァオ　Willy Tsao
1979年に城市当代舞踊団（CCDC）を設立し、89年に芸術監督に就任。同時に、中国の三大ダンスカンパニーであるCCDC、広東モダンダンスカンパニー、そして北京雷動天下現代舞団をも率いている。中国でもっとも多作な振付家であり、哲学や歴史、京劇からチャイニーズロックにいたるまで、中国文化全般から広くインスピレーションを得て制作されるその作品は、国内外で上演され、コンテンポラリーダンスの発展に計り知れない貢献をしている。

サン・ジジア Sang Jijia
ロレックス芸術指導教育構想のプログラムにより「もっとも完璧なダンサー」としてウィリアム・フォーサイスの下で振付を学ぶ。その後継続してフランクフルトバレエ団、そしてフォーサイス・カンパニーに振付補佐兼ダンサーとして在籍。彼の振付は極めて激しいフィジカルなムーブメントとユニークなリズムを組み合わせて心理的な緊張と異方性を作り出す。ヨーロッパやアジアの著名なカンパニーにダンサーとして参加し振付も提供。現在、城市当代舞踊団（CCDC）の専任振付家を務めている。

Enter the maze of déjà vu, trapped by our own memories. In every delicate moment, memories seem so close and yet so far. It is slowly swallowed by time. Struggling between remembering and forgetting scattered names, distorted faces, floating time, transforming scenes and familiar plots. What is left inside is emptiness. In this misplaced world, what is real? What is fake?
As If To Nothing is an adrenaline-packed and interactive multimedia work created by internationally renowned choreographer Sang Jijia. Featuring electronic music by Dickson Dee and video design by Adrian Yeung, this tour-de-force is an extremely physical and emotional performance by the flagship contemporary dance company of Hong Kong.

For 35 years under the leadership of Founder and Artistic Director Willy Tsao, City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC) has inspired and excited audiences by performing superb contemporary dance pieces. Willy Tsao
Willy Tsao established City Contemporary Dance Company (CCDC) in 1979 and has been Artistic Director since 1989. He currently leads three major dance companies in China: CCDC, Guangdong Modern Dance Company and BeijingDance/LDTX. As one of the most prolific Chinese choreographers, Tsao takes inspiration from the full breadth of Chinese culture including philosophy, history, opera and even Chinese rock music. His works have been performed internationally. Tsao’s invaluable achievement and contributions to the development of contemporary dance are widely recognised.
 

Choreographer
Sang Jijia
Acclaimed as “the most perfect dancer”, Sang Jijia was chosen by the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative to study choreography under William Forsythe. He stayed with Ballet Frankfurt and the Forsythe Company as assistant choreographer and dancer. His choreography combines extremely intense physical movement and unique rhythm to create psychological tension and anisotropy. Sang has choreographed and performed for numerous well-known dance companies in Europe and Asia. He is currently Resident Choreographer of City Contemporary Dance Company.
